Sussex Community Development Association is proud to be launching the Active Travel Hub, a space for the community to engage in cycle and walking activities year ‘round. The Hub is Located by the Sidings Bistro near Newhaven Town Station. We have the following Free sessions coming up which are bookable through the links provided on our Active Travel Hub timetable .
- Bikes 4 Beginners Four week course: 26th April, 3rd, 10th, 17th May 3.30pm- 4.30-pm
For children aged 5-12 who are not yet confident on a bicycle.
- Mountain Bike Club: Every Wednesday from 4pm 17th 4pm-6pm
Exploring the local area with a professional guide. For 11-16 year olds.
- Bikeability Level 1: Saturday 27th May 12pm-2pm
Training programme that teaches children practical skills and gives them the understanding and expertise they need to ride their bikes on the road.
- Bikeability Level 2: Sunday 28th May 12pm-4pm
Training programme that teaches children practical skills and gives them the understanding and expertise they need to ride their bikes on the road.
- Buggy Walk: Starting 23rd May 10am-12pm 10am-12pm
A health walk for parents with young children.
- Family Bike Day: 2nd June 11am-4pm
Free workshops, including bike safety, Bike maintenance and a family bike ride.
