Celebrating our 20 year anniversary in 2024, we are a community based nursery committed to providing a fun, vibrant, messy environment. Our long serving, loyal and friendly staff team provide children with rich opportunities for challenge and risk, learning though play and from experiencing the natural and social world around them.
Denton Island Nursery is set in a tranquil island setting close to Newhaven town centre with its own ample parking. We have a lovely large rear garden with flower beds, sand pit, bike track, children’s planting area plus shaded decked area which the babies and children enjoy every day.

We are very pleased to be rated as a ‘Good’ provider in our recent Ofsted inspection in June 2019:
‘Good relationships between the staff and parents enable them to share a wide range of information, helping them to provide a consistent approach to supporting children’s learning.’
‘Children have daily opportunities to enjoy the outside area to develop good physical skills. They care for the plants that they have grown and safely explore ways of moving across climbing equipment.’
