Lewes District Food Partnership Launches Fundraising Campaign to End Hunger this Christmas

Money is being raised to support ten community food projects tackling poverty across the district. Lewes District Food Partnership are today launching a fundraising campaign to end hunger in Lewes District this Christmas.

Fitzjohns foodbank, Havens Food Coop, Landport foodbank & community café, Malling foodbank, Newhaven Baptist Church foodbank, Newhaven & Peacehaven community supermarkets and Seahaven Storehouse will all receive an equal share of the donations.

Across Lewes District 1 in 7 people report feeling worried about how they are going to afford food and this concern only worsens at Christmas time. In 2022 Lewes District emergency food network provided food to over 500 households each week, and as the cost of living crisis deepens demand on emergency food providers is higher than ever. This Winter they need your help to continue to put food on the table.
