Current Volunteering Opportunities
SCDA Shop
Our shop provides useful income for our community projects as well as a friendly space for people to meet up and to volunteer. If you would like to volunteer for a few hours a week or even just now and again, we would like to hear from you! Please contact Eve Collins on 01273 514139 or email [email protected]
Denton Island Community Centre: Gardening Volunteer
We are fortunate to have our own outdoor space and, we’re eager to make the most of our green areas. We would benefit from support from someone who knows what they’re doing when it comes to planting and composting! This would contribute towards our Community Supermarkets, which are a low-cost food provision for local families struggling to afford bills. We also have a community café, where attendees can have a hot meal, as well as hosting professionals from other services to provide advice and support.
It would be excellent if we could utilise our little allotment to grow fruit/veg/herbs that will support the running of our provision.
