Work and Health Programme

Coronavirus (Covid 19):

SCDA are working hard to ensure we minimise any risks of Covid 19 to the people who access our services, staff and volunteers.  We are following the latest guidance  from government to ensure our staff, volunteers and service users stay safe and healthy.

We continue to maintain our service delivery, where possible and we are adapting delivery so that we can continue to help local people. We will advise of any changes and reductions to our services, for example telephone appointments.

The Work and Health Programme is a Welfare to Work programme commissioned by the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP). It is designed to improve employment outcomes for people with health conditions or disabilities.
The WHP has an individualised approach. The Work and Health programme is different from other employment programmes because it recognises that everyone:
• Is different
• Has their own set of challenges
• Has their own individual reasons for being out of work
• Will have a different path to finding a job
It is not a “one-size” fits all approach. That is why it works. Referral onto the Work and Health Programme is via your local Job Centre Plus.
