Welcome to SCDA Young people, we work with young people locally to create activities and provide opportunities in our community. Please see below what we currently have on offer.
- committed to supporting a ‘youth voice’ in Newhaven and supporting the Newhaven Young People’s Forum with their future plans for delivery and fundraising
- working closely with our partners to ensure that the needs of our young people are met and activities are promoted locally through existing platforms
- providing a digital pack of resources and signposting to other youth projects and referrals to health and well-being services
- our purpose built youth centre remains a ‘youth hub’ with access to other services and a safe space for the NYPF to meet with support from SCDA staff
- Wellbeing Café; every Monday from 5.30-7pm, the NYPF will be providing a youth led warm space for young people to gather, eat good food and access positive activities to improve wellbeing, NOTE: This is currently a pilot scheme pending funding where we hope to extend the service to March 2026
- SCDA youth team are members of the Newhaven Youth Partnership and remain committed to those most disadvantaged in our community.
As always, we continue to actively seek funding and hope to provide a broader range of young people’s services in the future.
