Employability Wellbeing Day 19th June 2024 report
Over 150 people came along to the event at the King’s Centre in Eastbourne, with nearly half previously unknown to the SCDA team. It was great to meet new people as well as see familiar faces, and the range of information, services and wellbeing activities was very well received. 29 stall holders attended from a variety of third sector, community based groups alongside some statutory services including DWP and NHS. 96 people attended workshops – in WRAP, Wellness Drumming and Breathworks. All the holistic therapies were popular with 30 people trying acupuncture and 12 people reflexology, most for the very first time. The wonderful volunteers from A Touch Of Gentleness had a queue all day, providing hand massage and supportive chat to over 50 people.
Feedback from those attending included:
- 82% rated the day very good
- 99% said they felt more motivated to prioritise their wellbeing after the Wellbeing Day
