Working Together For Work

18 March 2020

Coronavirus (Covid 19):

SCDA are working hard to ensure we minimise any risks of Covid 19 to the people who access our services, staff and volunteers.  We are following the latest guidance  from government to ensure our staff, volunteers and service users stay safe and healthy.

We continue to maintain our service delivery, where possible and we are adapting delivery so that we can continue to help local people. We will advise of any changes and reductions to our services, for example telephone appointments.

Working Together for Work

Working Together for Work is funded by the European Social Fund and The National Lottery Community Fund.

This project aims to supports families as a whole with multiple complex barriers to work, to develop their skills, capabilities, talents and resilience.

Our dedicated Client Adviser works with the adults in the family and has already been able to support a number of participants via 121s and group work to develop new skills and to access education and training.  We have also supported participants to increase or update their job searching ability and successfully move into employment.

In addition, participants in the project have reported improved health, well-being and self-confidence as well as an increase in employability skills and ability to access other services and family support.

Feedback and comments from participants includes:

“I couldn’t have done it without the help I got from the project. I love my job and feel so happy now”

“I feel confident about the future”
