Coronavirus (Covid 19):
SCDA are working hard to ensure we minimise any risks of Covid 19 to the people who access our services, staff and volunteers. We are following the latest guidance from government to ensure our staff, volunteers and service users stay safe and healthy.
We continue to maintain our service delivery, where possible and we are adapting delivery so that we can continue to help local people. We will advise of any changes and reductions to our services, for example telephone appointments.

Local Learning Perspectives is funded by the European Social Fund and The National Lottery Community Fund.
The project aims to promote and increase social inclusion through supporting individuals in the community while developing their basic and social skills. SCDA will guide and support each participant in their path to overcome the challenges and barriers that prevent them from moving forward.
Our dedicated Client Adviser will help participants to identify their own challenges and is able to provide the help and support participants need to access education & training, volunteering or progression into job search and employment.
SCDA has already helped a number of participants via 1-2-1’s and group work to access training and develop new skills. We have also supported participants to increase or update their job searching ability and successfully move into employment. Participants in the project have also given very positive feedback and reported feeling more confident, less isolated and an increased ability to access other services.
Feedback and comments from participants includes:
“I feel this project has helped me to try and learn more skills which is beneficial to me and become more confident. And I don’t feel so isolated.”
“Very helpful in all respects. Made me feel comfortable in moving forward”
