Hailsham Community Hub

Coronavirus (Covid 19):

SCDA are working hard to ensure we minimise any risks of Covid 19 to the people who access our services, staff and volunteers.  We are following the latest guidance  from government to ensure our staff, volunteers and service users stay safe and healthy.

We continue to maintain our service delivery, where possible and we are adapting delivery so that we can continue to help local people. We will advise of any changes and reductions to our services, for example telephone appointments.

For latest advice from NHS https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/

Come and join our volunteers at the Community Allotment Project in Battle Road Hailsham! Our allotment project is taking shape with a lot of hard work from our great band of volunteers! Why not join us – learn new skills, enjoy learning about plants, fruit and vegetables, harvesting home grown organic produce to take home as well as making new friends. If you would like to get involved or find out more please email hailsham@sussexcommunity.org.uk or call 01323 440548.

Join Together – Befriending for lonely or isolated people in and around Hailsham

Loneliness can be a problem for many of us, especially if we are new to a community or when we get older.  This project aims to reduce loneliness and social isolation in our communities by bringing people together and looking for opportunities to help individuals strengthen their social networks and make new friends.

While we deal with Covid-19 and adhere to government guidelines lonliness and social isolation becomes even more critical to many community members. To help address this SCDA have put in place a temporary telephone befriending service for anyone who wants to just have a chat or be in regular contact with one of our trained volunteers. For anyone interested in being supported please call Julie on 07920 526226 or Michelle on 07341 563649. Alternatively please email hailsham@sussexcommunity.org.uk
