Join us for Food Bank Awareness Day on Tuesday 29th October 2019 10am-2.30pm at Denton Island Community Centre, Newhaven. 

We look forward to the official launch of the Budget Bites Cookbook, as well as fun family activities and a ‘Behind the Scenes’ look at the Food Bank and how it works. 

Entry is a donation to the Seahaven Food Bank – food and toiletries are always urgently needed. For suitable items please see below.

 

How to use the Food Bank:

Please visit the Info & Advice Hub at 31a High Street, Newhaven. We are open the following hours:

Monday 9am – 12pm

Tuesday closed

Wednesday 9am – 12pm

Thursday 9am – 12pm

Friday 10am – 12pm

A member of our team will discuss your circumstances with you and there will also be an opportunity to discuss further services and support should you need them.

Donations of non-perishable food are always very welcome and can be left at several collection points including 31a High Street, Newhaven; Sainsbury’s Newhaven, Sainsbury’s Peacehaven, Newhaven Town Council offices and Denton Island Community Centre, Newhaven.

The food bank is currently short of:

  • Tinned potatoes / instant mash
  • Tinned tomatoes
  • Tinned fruit
  • Tinned fish
  • Tinned meat
  • Cereal
  • Long life milk
  • Toiletries
  • Toilet rolls
