A huge ‘thank you’ to everyone who has donated food items and cash to the Food Bank – your generosity is greatly appreciated by Food Bank and SCDA staff, volunteers and Trustees and has ensured that we have been able to continue to deliver food parcels to vulnerable residents during these unprecedented times.
Prior to ‘lockdown’ we were distributing an average of 30 parcels a week – over the last few weeks, this has now risen to delivery of 90+ parcels, feeding approximately 140 adults and 115 children. Your generosity contributes to the cost of a weekly food parcel of essential items costing around £16 per parcel, rising to £18 with the inclusion of toiletries, personal hygiene and cleaning materials.
Please keep the donations coming, big or small, food items or cash, they are much needed and very much appreciated!
