Cooking can be rewarding and good fun and the Budget Bites cookery courses aimed to show how delicious food can be cooked cheaply and easily by following a simple recipe. Participants on the courses enjoyed cooking together, eating together and followed a wide range of recipes, with a focus on healthy eating and recipes from around the world.
These recipes have been compiled into the Budget Bites Cook Book, free to download from this website and soon to be available as a hard copy recipe book.
Working alongside Seahaven Food Bank, the course tutors made sure that ingredients were relatively cheap and easy to buy, often using store cupboard ingredients and what is usually at local Food Banks.

We look forward to the official launch of the Budget Bites Cookbook, as well as fun family activities and a ‘Behind the Scenes’ look at the Food Bank and how it works.
Entry is a donation to the Seahaven Food Bank – food and toiletries are always urgently needed. For suitable items please see the Food Bank page.
