Full time – 37 hours per week
Fixed term until 30 April 2022 in the first instance
Salary range – £23,541 – £27,041 pa dependant on skills & experience
Based in Newhaven with travel across East Sussex

We are recruiting for an experienced Employer Coordinator to work with a range of local employers across East Sussex brokering work placements and the sourcing of suitable, supported vacancies for participants on the project with long term health conditions and disabilities.
You will demonstrate a successful track record in generating new business relationships with employers, leading to the sourcing and filling of vacancies for participants. You will advocate the benefits of becoming a ‘Disability Confident’ employer and promote corporate social responsibility. You will be aware of and have experience of collating local labour market information and will share this with our participants and the staff supporting them.
You will be an experienced networker on social media and in person, raising the profile of LGW with employers throughout East Sussex.
You should be able to demonstrate excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills and will be a confident and credible ambassador for SCDA, showing sensitivity to the aims & values of the organisation as a whole.
Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate experience of working supportively with vulnerable people, assisting & enabling them to access opportunities, have an understanding of the challenges facing participants as a result of Covid-19 and be accustomed to regular review and performance reporting.

The post is subject to a DBS check and based in Newhaven, with travel to outreach locations across East Sussex.

Covid-19 conditions
Due to following current government guidance on social distancing, we are implementing Covid-safe conditions in the work place and are working towards bringing our teams back into the office at an appropriate level. We would ideally like interviews for this role to take place in person during the week commencing 5th October 2020 with appropriate social distancing measures. The successful applicant will be supported and equipped to work from home and attend the workplace for some working days each week.
