Community Hubs Project Manager
Full time – 37 hours per week
Based in Newhaven with regular travel across East Sussex
Salary range – £27,582 – £32,962 dependent on skills and experience
SCDA’s community hubs are great! They provide vital services and projects aimed at improving wellbeing, reducing isolation and addressing social inequalities within local communities. We want to expand our portfolio of hubs and as part of this we are looking for a Community Hubs Project Manager to oversee and provide strategic management for our existing network of community hubs, whilst driving forward our county-wide approach.
The post holder will also be responsible for building on the existing services run out of the Denton Island Community Centre hub, supporting the running of the centre, having general H&S awareness and developing the input of local volunteers. Ideal candidates will be collaborative workers, with an understanding of the charity sector, staff management, community development, and fundraising. You will be a strong team leader with a flexible attitude, who is able to motivate staff to work towards agreed goals. Solid, clear communication skills, verbal and written are a must, ideally these should include the writing of funding applications and report writing.
Ultimately we are looking for someone who can bring their skills and experience to contribute to the shared values of our organisation.
This role is based in Newhaven, with travel to delivery locations across East Sussex, therefore being a car owner and driver is essential. The post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
